digital "nipple"
If you will look around, many people don't have a personal computer/laptop. How many people in your environment use them as their primary device? I guarantee these are just a few people, mostly those who use them for work. Young students don't understand the concept of files, application interfaces are being simplified with each update, most people don't even realize there's a concept of "settings" in their device. Some might say - everything seems fine, modern technologies are doing everything to abstract us from things we don't need for daily use. Why is this bad?
Because people use phones without thinking about how things work inside. For many people, Wi-Fi is real magic. Why do people consider it magic? Because they don't know how it works, they don't even think about it for a second, because their minds are filled with consuming endless streams of information from their social feeds - that's the meaning of the "digital nipple" that's been shoved into everyone's mouth, and many are asking for more. This kills our desire to create, think, and develop, because our thoughts are occupied with something completely unnecessary, just to "kill time".
Humans became intelligent because they were interested in the world around them and how things work. Take away this interest from a person, and they become a monkey that only eats, sleeps, and reproduces. "digital nipples" are aimed at this, and they're doing their job excellently. "It's great invention" - I thought, opening Instagram.
P.S. I've never had Tiktok or Instagram accounts in my life.
